Owlcotes Literature Festival 2024

Each year the Owlcotes mat partake in our annual Literature festival. This year Armley Park’s focus was focussed on the AGE UK initiative of battling loneliness in the elderly community. Each phase in school studied a text related to the focus and created artwork, poetry and narrative writing. Each class then visited Rivauex House, which is a residential care home in our local community. Both the residents and the children loved the experiences of sharing stories and performances. Subsequent visits are planned throughout the rest of the academic year in relation to the areas of our curriculum. Some pictures of our fantastic work are below!

Literature Studied
